The university’s job listings are updated every business day, and each union position is posted for five business days.
To be considered a union eligible bidder during the bid period, you must currently be working in a union-eligible position (see HR Policy Manual HR-514 Unions and Union Membership) for at least six months at a minimum of 30 hours per week.
You must apply within the published five-day posting period, and you must meet the minimum qualifications for the vacancy. Union eligible employees must be in good standing at the time they apply. This means that the employee cannot have two written warnings or one suspension on file in the last six months.
Your qualifications for this position will be evaluated based on the information you provide on your job application. Once the bid period is closed, there will be no opportunity to submit additional information regarding your qualifications.
Complete an on-line application form and select the vacancy number for the job for which you want to apply. You may upload supporting documents (i.e., resume, transcript, etc.) which you would like to have considered.
The union bid period is included on each posting. No applications can be submitted after the bid period has closed.
External applicants will only be considered if there are no union eligible bidders or if all of the bidders decline the position. If there are no union eligible bidders, then all applicants that meet the minimum qualifications will have their application materials routed to the hiring department for review.
