As a leader, there are a number of resources you may need to use or find helpful in the course of completing your duties. Below are some commonly-accessed resources to assist you as you go about your role in the organization.

 

HR Manager Self-Service

As a leader who supervisors employees, you may access employee information, performance reviews, timesheets and more within PeopleSoft.


Trainings and Resource Guides

Free trainings and resource guides are available on a variety of leadership and supervisory topics through Percipio, such as organizational development, management essentials and being a collaborative leader.


IT Services

The Division of IT (DoIT) provides technology support for university classrooms and workplaces, including training, digital resources and a self-service portal to submit questions or report problems.

Employee Engagement and Retention

Increasing faculty and staff engagement and retention within your organization enhances productivity and organizational success. Learn more about university resources to assist leaders with engagement and retention.


Inclusion, Diversity and Equity

Creating environments in which diversity and equity is valued and all employees feel a sense of belonging is essential. The Office of Institutional Equity provides support, training and resources to leaders and employees.


Communication Tools

Effective visual communication improves culture and connects the employee with the organization. University leaders are encouraged to use the branding toolkits, with options for both employees and managers/supervisors.


Accessibility and ADA

Leaders play a vital role in providing accessibility and accommodations to individuals with disabilities. The Office of Accessibility and ADA provides training, guidance and resources for leaders and employees to aid in providing equal opportunity in all aspects of our campus.


Adaptive Computing Technology (ACT) Center

The ACT Center helps individuals with disabilities or impairments by assessing workplace barriers, conducting ergonomic consultation, identifying solutions, and providing training.


Learning and Organizational Development

The learning and organizational development team supports faculty, staff, managers and leaders to foster high performance and fulfilling careers in keeping with the UM System mission. Emphasis areas include learning and growth, performance, career management, employee experience and leadership development.
